The Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (MDGLCC) invites its members and the community at large to a Free Webinar on Thursday, May 28th at 4pm on the topic of "Working from Home". This webinar is intended to provide tips and best practices to optimize your experience and productivity while working from home.
The webinar will be lead by three chamber member and experts in the areas of Wellbeing, Time Management, and Space Solutions followed by an opportunity for Q&A. RSVP today and join the dialogue to better understand the essential principles underlying effective "Working from Home".
ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Dr. Daniel Sheridan (Authentic Self Counseling Group)
Dr. Daniel Sheridan is a licensed psychologist and owner of Authentic Self Counseling Group. Dr. Sheridan is passionate about providing quality mental health treatment to the LGBTQ+ community and has extensive training and clinical experience working with individuals along the continuum of sexual orientation and gender identity. Dr. Sheridan provides individual and couples counseling as well as psychological testing. He comfortably works with a wide range of presenting concerns including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues.
Thom Qafzezi (Molto Crescendo)
Thom Qafzezi is the Founder and CEO of Molto Crescendo, a boutique people development consultancy that provides talent solutions that equip organizations, leaders, and teams to thrive. As a seasoned executive coach, trusted leadership advisor, and industrial and organizational psychology practitioner, Thom is passionate about creating meaningful transformation for organizations that are hungry and ready for change. He leads a team of 42 consultants across the United States whose coaching and consulting experience span a breadth of industries from logistics and transportation to retail, healthcare, and financial services, to name a few. Some of Thom’s clients include GE, Astellas Pharma, Ryder, World Fuel Services, and Tiffany’s & Company. Thom holds an MBA and a Masters in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and has spent over 25 years honing his expertise by serving in human resources, leadership & organization development, and operations leadership roles with well-recognized organizations such as Medtronic, Metropolitan Life, Assurant, Cleveland Clinic, and Baptist Health of South Florida. Karenly Espada (IKEA Miami)
Loyalty Manager and Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Ambassador at IKEA Miami. Before becoming Loyalty Manager in 2017, Karenly was the IKEA BUSINESS Manager for IKEA Miami.Although new to the retail world, Karenly established new and “out of the box” strategies which catapulted her department to the Top 3 with the greatest store share in US. She also developed and maintained relationships with key local organizations in order to establish the IKEA BUSINESS brand presence within the local market. Karenly also developed new communication and created the processes and documents required for International customers. All of these successes within the IKEA world earned Karenly the honor to become Mentor for the Leadership and Development in-store program for co-workers in addition to be named the Ambassador for the Diversity, Equality & Inclusion corporate program.Prior to joining IKEA, and while still living in Puerto Rico where she was born and raised, Karenly worked for 5 years as Assistant, Marketing Manager for a Wine & Spirits distributor in Puerto Rico. In 2009, Karenly started her own consulting company, KEH Marketing Communications, where her client portfolio included companies from different industries such as the Wine & Spirits, Financial, Medical, Governmental and Non-For-Profit organizations. Karenly graduated Cum Laude from a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, with a Major in Marketing from the University of Puerto Rico. In 2010, Karenly moved to South Florida with her husband Luis, her daughter Natalia, and her four-legged family members, Lola Maria and Georgia Maria.
