About Patrick Russell
Patrick Russell is a trial lawyer for legal ethics, compliance, and professional regulation with The Florida Bar. Patrick handles disciplinary investigations and proceedings from inception through trial, and any required appeals before the Florida Supreme Court. Prior to joining The Florida Bar, Patrick managed his own law firm for more than 18 years, primarily handling civil litigation matters involving business law, contracts, debt collection, judgment enforcement, first-party insurance claims, and real estate.
Patrick is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Civil Mediator. Having always enjoyed conflict resolution and bringing parties together, Patrick intends to transition to a full-time mediation, evaluation, and alternative dispute resolution practice in the future. Besides law, Patrick is passionate about history and Veterans issues. Patrick founded and serves as a Director for the Making History Project (www.makinghistory-project.com), a Florida non-profit organization that preserves Veterans? stories and the effects of combat trauma through oral history interviews.
Patrick received his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Marquette University. He is a member of The Florida Bar, the ADR Section of the Florida Bar, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, a staff member of the University of Florida Samuel Proctor Oral History Program, and a member of the Oral History Association, American Historical Association, Friends and Family of the 508 Parachute Infantry Regiment, and the Battle of the Bulge Association.
