Health and Wellness Council Pride Virtual Event - The Long-Term Effects of Stress in the LGBTQ Community
Join us for a special pride edition virtual event where we will discuss the long-term effects of stress on the LGBTQ Community led by two of MDGLCC's Health and Wellness Co-Chairs, Dr. Tash and Dr. Hudson. They will share the historical to the present with a mind/body perspective. Network, connect and come prepared to ask questions and leave with tools to de-stress. Each participant will be given a complimentary 30 minutes session by Dr. Hudson and enter to win a Day Spa package from the Carillon Wellness Resort.
Dr. Tash, PhD - Licensed Psychologist. Natasha L. Poulopoulos, PhD (Dr. Tash) is a licensed psychologist, consultant, and speaker who specializes in youth mental health, diversity, and inclusion. She completed her PhD at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children's Hospital. Through seminars and trainings, Dr. Tash advises organizations on how to create safe, motivating, equitable and informed workplaces and healthcare settings. Her advocacy on LGBTQ+ affirming mental health has been featured in state and national media outlets.
Dr. Hudson - Chiropractor. Joseph Hudson D.C. is a forward-thinking chiropractic physician and business owner practicing in Miami Beach, FL. He is a graduate of Parker College in Dallas, TX and is a current member of the Florida Chiropractic Association. He has also completed coursework as a Functional Medicine Practitioner (DABCI) and is board eligible with the American Board of Chiropractic Internists. He is also a participating provider in the federally funded Ryan White program. Dr. Hudson studied with the Carrick Institute and is also board eligible with the American Chiropractic Neurology Board.
